This is a device backup with a searchable database.
Backup can happen at any interval and with any vendor.
The video starts by showing what would be a daily device backup.
You can then select a date from the past and view the device configuration on that day.
It then goes on to show that it searches the database of key words i.e:
For exmaple, if you are looking across the network for a perticular IP address or any key word that may be an access list or route-map, it will find the correct match and device on where it's located.
This can be used for any network device, as long as script is backing up the configuration into the database.
This tool can grow to include device models, searchable table fields and much more.
I'll include a script which can backup Cisco switches but if you have a different vendor, please contact me.
This will be delivered as an exe, that works on Window laptops via a Chrome browser. All data is saved in an SQLite database saved local to your laptop.
